Lonely & Soooo Not Easy

Hi there world,

so it seems I have lost my Weight Watcher buddy and am going it alone. I am having a brutal time getting motivated to count points again. :(

I did join Booty Camp Fitness and am hoping that this huge challenge can also getting me going on points too.

I really miss my buddy though. :(

Back on the Wagon

Well... it has been a couple of weeks of not keeping track and trying to make good choices but caving here and there...... and then once caved here and there.... was beginning to cave everywhere....

so I got weighed today and have gained 3 lbs.

So I am back on the wagon so to speak.

Tonight I had a veggie burger from Harveys with a garden salad and I got in 3 glasses of water today. It is a start on the road back to program.

So Hard Right Now

Hey there,
So hard right now. Trying to make good choices but with birthday parties and graduation barbecues etc. it is very hard. Yesterday, I went to the gym with Hopey in the morning and then we had big D & T out to Atlantic Playland as Lil D had a party there. So we walked up the hill repeatedly to the slide but when we got hungry, there were no good choices to make at the canteen. Everything there was a bad choice! And we were hungry!

Today I have so far only made good choices. LOL

Getting weighed tomorrow.

Where I am at Lately & How I am Doing too

alrighty then... well first off... obviously I did not blog or post last week. My WW buddy was away and I just sluffed off as a result. I tried to make good choices but not counting the points is never a good thing. Were I to not have swam for 6 1/2 hours and walk in a mall for 4 hrs, I would have had a big gain man. So thank god for activity points eh!!! Cutting to the chase, I stayed the same at weigh in on Tuesday.

So this Tuesday, I went to Subway for breakie and they weren't open yet. dangit! so I went to Timmie's and they don't have the egg white option. So I am sure that egg muffin thingy was a good chunk of points, then had a grilled chicken sandwich from Wendys with a side salad for lunch, then hubby asked via phone did I want chinese food for supper... well you know what that does to us.... damn MSG!!!! Wednesday, had honey nut cheerios with 1% milk and a banana for breakie (did not measure) then a cheeseburger happy meal for lunch. And leftover chinese for supper.

Now to turn a fresh page, today I had a reduced calorie (Dempster's body wise) english muffin with egg for breakie with margarine and a smidge of ketchup. So the points are?

Lunch: Roast beef sub from subway lots veg and low fat mayo, 0 point jello and Source yogurt cup.

The Ugly Truth......

Hey Heddi,

When I went on my vacation, I did not really know to what extent I would be doing WW.
So, I did not count points, I obviously did not post what I ate - as I didn't want to think about it or be accountable for anything........seriously who wants to look up the point value in a whole bottle of chardonay? (good Lord I just looked it up.......15 pts !!!)

ANYWAYS - I didn't even go on FB (I changed my FB password, and had my kids farm and feed my dog while I was gone) All I knew was that I needed a break. A complete break........what I didn't realize was that I have let you down. I fully expected to sign on here this am after weighing in, and read all of your posts and was fully prepared to laugh or cry, as you tend to get to the "heart" of the matter when you write. I did NOT even think that you would not post at all. I did not think that you needed me for support that much.....I feel like shit that I have let you down. I am sorry - truly I am. Yes I needed the break - but I should have posted on here at least to only keep my committment to you. I dropped the ball - can we start fresh?

I did make some good choices and then there were some .... not so good choices. :) Anyways I am up 8.6 pounds !!! WOW !! I could really punish myself and feel shitty but ya know?? I ate that food or drank it and now it's time to pay, move forward, no guilt , just get back on the saddle again. Those 8.6 WILL be coming off and soon. :)

I came in Sunday evening around 830pm spent time with the kids, before I knew it it was 1130pm - but wasnt tired as I was still on Calgary time (830) but had to work the next am at 8am - so needless to say do NOT get much sleep. Also working this am 8-4, then going to our AGM tonight at 6-730 :( I will be back on here later today, posting my VERY wise food choices ;) - hope to see you too my friend.

Well things are getting pretty shabby! Did not have breakfast today. Did not drink any water until 330!!!!! Had turkey breast sub w veggies but then had 3 pieces home made pizza for supper w/ a 4 pt peppermint patty for dessert & then a 0 point jello. Only 3 glasses h2o today. Have got to get back on track!

Sunday

Today my weight watcher buddy came over and borrowed some clothes. :) That was fun! I love to see her pretty and vibrant like the woman she is! :)

Was also my daughter's family bday supper.

Bfast: 1 cup honey nut cheerios, 1 cup skim milk, 1 banana

Lunch: left over hamburger from earlier this week with 1/2 cheese slice on it and a whole wheat bun, ketchup, 1/4 cup noodles

Supper: 1 hot dog & whole cheese slice w ketchup, 2 deviled eggs, brocolli salad, garden salad, 1 sliver s'mores bday cake.

3 glasses water HAVE TO GET BACK INTO THE WATER THING!

Friday & Saturday

So Friday was my eldest birthday and it included some tears throughout the day. I had no breakfast. Dani chose Smitty's for lunch. I had an egg white omelette with tons of veggies and a piece of turkey bacon and a fruit cup. Drank 3 glasses water and then had a piece of ice cream cake after singing to my big girl. Later that night had two chicken burgers from chicken burgers for supper. NO FRIES :)

Saturday: Egg white omelette with cheese (forgot to say no cheese) tons of veggies and 2 piece turkey bacon and a fruit cup. long walk downtown. Then had a granola bar and then a cows ice cream and a yogurt.

hmmmmm... what could be missing from this blog.... ummm... maybe points.... LOL

Tuesday on the go

Went with Lil D on her field trip today. Did not have time for breakfast. Did not want to drink water throughout the Wildlife park as I did not have access to bathroom. Being on a bus with that many kids being noisy was exhausting as was the stress of watching Lil D and 3 boys (one who was of higher needs). The teacher had provided an unrealistic schedule for the park exploration as well as scavenger hunt sheets for the kids to color in along the way (which was utterly ridiculous); we did not get to see all the animals and the kids were obsessed with the coloring crap. There were also MASSIVE line ups to get food out of food dispensers which ALL the kids had money for. (think lots of schools of kids lined up!)

Being that it is that time of the month, when I got home, I just wanted to eat and eat and eat, hence the several containers of 0 point jello and 3 Weight Watcher muffins and 2 puddings.

I lost 0.8 lbs this week! Which marks the first time ever I have lost any weight during this particular week of the month! so I am pretty happy.

Loved the meeting! Jim is wonderful and absolutely helps get your head in the right direction. His information and demeanor is invaluable!

A Monday full of Compliments

I was told I look like I lost weight all day today. LOL was funny, and sort of fun at same time too. I had a black tshirt, black capris and black flip flops. You know what they say about the color black right? LOL

But seriously, the 12 lbs have come off my chest man!!! Several of my tops are baggy there and my M&M jammies hang off my shoulders. dammit! I liked my chest!

sort of exciting for anything to have changed, but my chest!!!! :(

So today, my Aunt Flo came for a visit and I will admit I was not expecting her. She crept up without the usual signals she send outs before she descends upon me. Hope she doesn't screw up my getting weighed in tomorrow. What a bitch she can be eh?

Weird day

OMG !!!! WOW !!!!!

Ok since the "mug cake" incident, where I ate 1/3 of David's .....it was bothering me to not know the point value.

So looked for a recipe builder. So input the ingredients for a SINGLE mug cake and one SINGLE mug cake is 17 pts !!!! (698.4 cal / 5.3g fibre / 47.9g fat) * I told you it was evil !!!*

So I actually only had 1/3 of that and I counted it as 12 pts; actually 1/3 is roughly 6 pts.

But wow !! look at that fat !!!! was shocked !!!

I guess knowledge is power !!

Just finished inputting my food for yesterday.
Stayed within my points. Will weigh in today as was not able to last night.

Well Weighed in and I am up one pound. :( So fucking feel like giving up, seriously hanging on by a thread here !!! But I'm not going to.....at least not today.....I can only live for today right now.
So, I have decided that it's back to basics.......I am measuring absoltely everything - no more eyeballing shit !!!!

When today started, it really sucked !! But I am happy that I stayed on program today. When I am tempted to eat tonight I will drink water. :)

How Much Power do Numbers Have?

Over the years, I have belonged to Weight Watchers or done diets many times. Some time ago, I remember telling myself that the numbers on the scale no longer have any power over me. That as long as I felt good, more energy, felt confident in my choices, then the numbers would come.

There are so many reasons why our weight fluctuates, far more for us women then men. Ergh! Of course there is that whole time of the month thingy; some women go up the week before the curse arrives and some go up the week the curse (LOL "the curse") is here. Another great example is what you have eaten; you could be making great choices but if any have had lots of sodium or msg, then sometimes it takes days to get that out of your system.

So while I believe all this, sometimes, it still can affect you. At a Weight Watcher meeting not too long ago, I mentioned how they actually pander to the power of the numbers. We get stickers for a great job, 5 lbs stickers, 5% and 10% stickers. Therefore facilitating a chase the numbers mentality.
